As someone who suffers from hyperpigmentation I was excited about trying Dual Source Vitamin C&C Serum because it claims to remove dark spots. After using it for about a month and a half I wasn’t as happy as I had hoped to be.

The serum did fade my dark spots but not completely and not as fast as I had hoped. I have used other less expensive products that faded my dark spots faster. However, while the serum didn’t fade my dark spots as quickly as other products it did not irritate my skin, as most other products have.

While I wasn’t so happy with how quickly my dark spots were fading I did notice that my blemishes while using the serum were not as inflamed. They also faded more quickly and did not leave as dark a spot as they would have if I were not using the serum. So I ended up with fewer dark spots than usual. That, I was very pleased with.

As it claims the serum reduces fine lines. I don’t have very many fine lines to begin with but wherever I applied the serum I noticed improvement in my skin’s smoothness and general appearance. The serum feels very nice when applied and gave my skin a very healthy glow.

Overall, I really do like the product. It’s great to add to the beauty routine but be certain of what you are looking for. If you need a product that quickly fades dark spots, while dark spots will fade with its use, this product probably shouldn’t be your first choice. However, if you are looking for something that will prevent blemishes from turning into very dark spots and fade dark spots over time, this product is great. Smoothing out fine lines is a bonus!

Okay, I admit it. I’m a complete sucker for anything that says organic or natural. And since I had my son a year ago, I’ve been through just about every product available to make bath time more like playtime — I’ve tried just about everything age appropriate. So when my son turned 1, I thought it was time to fill ‘er up with some bubbles.

California Baby’s Aromatherapy Bubble bath comes in 10 different scents from Calming (Lavender) to Holiday Cheer (Vanilla, Orange, Lavender). I chose Calming as our night time routine involves a bath after dinner. Within moments of dropping a capful into the warm running water, my entire bathroom smelled like a spa. It was heavenly.

While my son loved the bubbles in the tub it was the extra surprise that he truly lit up for. California Baby provides a bubble wand with each Bubble Bath bottle. Simply fill the cap, remove the wand and start blowing. My son giggled the entire bath trying to catch that elusive popping bubble.

And I’m addicted. Not only is the scent light and airy yet completely heavenly, but the added fun of the bubble wand is just too much to resist!
